Rebirth...it pains me.

As you may have gathered, I died.

But hey, I got better...or worse. When I fell down to the void I was met with a voice inside my head. It spoke to me.

"Céline, do you want this to be your fate?"

I didn't say anything, I didn't really have a comment since I was busy falling to my untimely death.

"Do you think this is the end of your story?"

I shook my head, tears still streaming down my chin.

"That's right, but I can give you another chance...another way out"

"What's that?"

"Make a contract with me. I'll rebirth you once you die in about 10 minutes and in exchange you will serve my purpose until I say its time for you to die, upon which I'll kill you...with style of course"

There was nothing I could really do. I felt like he was right, this wasn't the end...I wasn't done liking stuff, I wasn't done not liking stuff. I wasn't done in general, so in perhaps the worst mistake of my life I made the contract.

After I fell to the ground and broke my neck, I could feel myself slipping away into whatever celestial space is out there where dead people go. But then I felt like I was being sucked back in and I woke up, unharmed in a field somewhere here in Belgium...Antwerp to be specific.

After walking around for a bit I noticed that it was summer, it was really hot outside. It was August 1st. I guess he went with me there. After that all I encountered a Man with gray hair who seemed to know about me.

"Céline, dear...been waiting forever for you to wake up" he said and hugged me.

"You are?"

"Your new master of course"

I quickly realized that this was the being that made the contract with me. I was wondering what sort of stuff he was gonna make me do. I figured that perhaps he wanted me to kill someone or something, but such thing did not occur.

"What do you want me to do...eh master" I asked.

Saying master sounded just wrong to me, I don't know why but just gave me chills down my spine.

"Nothing at the moment, I'll contact you from time to time asking you to do various jobs and if you wanna stay alive I'd advise you to. Other than that, feel free to do as you please"

"I see"

"One more thing dear, I enhanced you a bit"

"Enhanced?"

"Yes, I gave you the ability to reverse time momentarily"

"Oh?"

"Yeah, just concentrate on it...practice a bit, you'll get the hang of it. Anyway, I have other matters to attend to, my mistress awaits me."

"Mistress?"

"Better if you not meet her...yet"

"eh...ok"

I don't know but I was getting a very weird vibe of this guy and then he just disappeared. It seems that my life has officially changed forever, no matter what he says.

This is not over, it will never be until the day he kills me.
Until then, I guess I'm not allowed to end my misery.
Although I'm conflicted to whether I want that or not.

A deal's a deal after all.
